About a year ago I had every intention of writing a basic ‘how to get started in Spine 2D’ tutorial but time and circumstance got in the way.
I use Spine 2D professionally and although the guys over at Esoteric keep adding changes to functionality, I feel I can offer solid advice to budding 2D animators for any version currently released.
Spine 2D is a simple but powerful tool that will allow you to create and organically animate characters with customisable weapons and skins as well as juicy UI elements and in game environments.
I’ll try to cover the basic points first and expand upon them as I get feedback from you. You should expect to see something in the coming month or so.
