Bill Murray shows off his singing voice in the closing credits of the Weinstein Co’s “St. Vincent,” when he quietly croons “Shelter From the Storm.” As the film’s director Ted Melfi told Variety, the scene was shot in a single take with Murray and a garden hose, after Harvey Weinstein agreed to pay for the rights to the Bob Dylan melody.
But the legendary comedian doesn’t plan on hanging up his mic just yet. Murray revealed exclusively to Variety that he intends to star in a Christmas special for TV that will be directed by his “Lost in Translation” collaborator Sofia Coppola, where he’ll be performing classic carols.
