Font Licenses

Something you’ll always need to consider when creating art for commercial use is font licensing.

For the most part, you can download a vast number of quality free for commercial use fonts, but it always pays to do your research before you commit to using one.

Personally I use the font links listed in my links page. They offer lots of variety and usually provide sufficient licensing information.

Generally fonts should come with documentation detailing the author and licence information, usually in the form of a text document.
Keep this in mind as not all websites provide this document with the font download.
If you find it is missing, try to find the original author or website of the font and download it from there. Alternatively you can contact the author directly if they provide an email address.
